Nigerians to pay more for Dstv, Gotv services

Subscribers of  MultiChoice  will have to pay more, as from April 1, this year, as  the leading entertainment company, has announced its decision to review tariffs on its  Dstv and Gotv packages,  in Nigeria.

The company, in a statement made available to  BrandsTrack Online, on Tuesday, attributed the decision to implement the new pricing regime,  to inflation and the rising costs of doing business in Nigeria.


it added that  the price review had become imperative to enable it fulfil its mission of continually delivering value to its teeming subscribers.
“At MultiChoice Nigeria, our mission is to deliver value to our customers by making great entertainment more accessible. In light of the rising costs of inflation and business operations, we have had to review the price of our packages to keep delighting our customers with great entertainment, anytime and anywhere.

“Therefore, from April 1, 2022, a new pricing regime for both our DStv and GOtv packages will be in effect,” the company stated.

For instance,  its Dstv Premium Bouquet will be going from N18,400 to N21,000 as from next month, while the Compact+ and Compact packages, also on Dstv, will be going for N14,250 and N9,000, instead  of their old prices of N12,400 and N7,900 respectively.

The Gotv bouquets are not spared either. While the present price of N3,600 for its Gotv Max, will be available for N4150, as from April, its Gotv Joli and Gotv Jinja will now sell for N2800and N1,900 instead of their present prices of N2460 and N1640 respectively.

The company  however assures that customers  who pay  on or before  their due dates  will be allowed to pay the old prices, as a way of cushioning the effects of such price adjustments.

“Customers who  pay consistently on time before  their due dates for a period of 12 months (1year),  will pay the old price, while those who also pay for 10 months upfront, the new price, will get the 11th and 12th months free,” it stated.
