Former LCCI, AB-INBEV’s spokesman, Segun Alabi, bags IoD Nigeria’s job.

The Institute of Directors Nigeria, (IoD). has announced the appointment of Dr. Segun Alabi as the new Head of Corporate Affairs and Programs of the premier corporate governance institute.

Its Director General/Chief Executive Officer, Dele Alimi, in a statement, described Alabi as a talented Corporate Affairs professional, who has gained diverse experience in the Pay T.V, Financial, Real Estate and Manufacturing sectors.

 

He expressed the strong belief that the institute’s latest catch will be an added value and a real asset, as the institute continues to support, promote and provide best practice guidelines to company directors, as well as contributing to the nation’s economic growth.

Prior to the appointment, Segun Alabi, most recently, served as Corporate Affairs Manager at AB-INBEV (International Breweries Plc), overseeing all regulatory affairs and sustainability functions of the organisation. He has focused on Reputation Management, Government Relations, CSR Management, Stakeholder Management, Public Policy Advocacy and social media management at various levels.

A consummate corporate communications professional, Alabi, who holds a PhD Degree in English Language from the University of Lagos, specialising in Language Use and Communication, possesses the qualities of a communication connoisseur, with a canny ability to manage and disseminate information to a competitive advantage.

In his response, Alabi described the new appointment as ‘a dream come true’, noting that though enormous, the tasks ahead are quiet achievable.

Segun Alabi holds a PhD degree in English from the University of Lagos, specialising in Language Use and Communication.
