The management of Nigerian Breweries (NB) Plc has said that the decision to come up with ‘The Big Weekend Experience’, an admixture of beer and music event, stemmed from the need to excite its consumers, further connect with them, and enrich their weekends.
Speaking at the media briefing to signify the commencement of the initiative that will see 20 top Nigerian artistes visit 18 different communities across the country, National Trade Marketing Manager at NB Plc, Mfon Bassey described the initiative as demonstrating the company’s unwavering commitment to delivering quality brands and creating thrilling consumer experiences.
According to him, weekends to many Nigerians, represent a period for relaxation and fun. The ‘Big Weekend Experience’ therefore demonstrates NB Plc’s penchant at identifying with the passion of its operating environments.
He noted that the initiative is being launched at this time to quench the thirst of Nigerians for relaxation, especially with the rains gradually abating, and fun-seekers getting hungrier for fun.
“Nigerian Breweries has been synonymous with quality brands and experiences for decades. We’ve pioneered events like Star Trek, Gulder Ultimate Search, Maltina Dance All, and many others that show our dedication to setting the standard. This time, we’re bringing our finest brews to ‘The Big Weekend Experience,’ ensuring that no one is left out,” he stated.
Bassey explained that the event, which runs from September 17th to October 22nd,will see the Goldberg and Life Beer lead the charge, with some other brands, in the portfolio, making appearances at the activations, thereby offering a wide array of options to satisfy every consumer.
Some of the artistes expected at the event, include: Skales, Orezi, and May D.
