EXMAN embarks on sensitisation of tertiary schools’ students, inducts 8 new member-agencies

 

As part of its ongoing efforts at bridging the gap between the Town and the Gown, the Experiential Marketers Association (EXMAN) recently embarked on a sensitization tour of the University of Ibadan  to engage students in the Faculty of Arts, particularly in Communications, on the business of experiential marketing.

 


The engagement was part of activities marking the 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of  the association.

 


The association’s President, Tolulope Medebem, described the visit as in tune with the association’s vision of nurturing talents within the experiential marketing sector.

 


She emphasized the critical role of such engagements in shaping the industry’s future workforce and the importance of bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.

 


Giving her scorecard of the past one year, Medebem, who got another two –year term nod, from members, together with the  association’s Vice President, Angela Makinwa, at the AGM,  delivered an extensive report on their year-long stewardship as leaders of the body.

 


She reflected on the past year’s challenges, both for the country and the industry, outlining  the EXCO’s service plan, anchored on the acronym THRIVE.


 

The association’s Vice President, Makinwa in her presentation, stated the association is in partnership with the Lagos Business School (LBS), to enable it increase knowledge and awareness for experiential marketing and the association, provide credible and worthwhile on-the-job training , as well as overall manpower development.

 

The inaugural program , she added, saw 42 participants, with 37 being EXMAN members, and an induction of  eight experiential marketing agencies.
