The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPMN) has declared a revenue of over N1billion in the 2023 Financial Year, marking the first time the institute would be recording such financial feat, since its inception 56 years ago.

 

Disclosing this at the institute’s 55th Annual General Meeting, held virtually, on Thursday, its Immediate Past President, Olusegun Mojeeed, also stated that the institute, in the last three years, also grew its revenue by over 100%, from N586million in 2021 financial year to over N1billion.

 

Additionally, the CIPMN boss stated that member funds were also increased from N1.6 billion to N2.3 billion, during the period under review.

 

Attributing the significant growth to the strategic efforts of his leadership, and support from members and corporate organizations, Mojeed expressed the optimism that the new leadership of the institute would surpass those feats in the coming years, especially with the strategic plans his administration had put in place.

 

One of feats, he added, was his administration’s admittance of over 3,000 members, marking a membership growth of 20 percent, while successfully reintegrating 1,043 members in Year 2023 alone.

 

According to him, the institute has now fully digitize its examination diets, a development that enables brilliant students get certified within 12 calendar months, and which has also resulted in encouraging figures in students enrolment year-on-year.

 

The institute, Mojeed stated, has also expanded its global presence, by establishing two branches in the diaspora: The CIPM United Kingdom Branch and the CIPM Canada, while it has also revitalized six branches: Ebonyi, Cross River, Bauchi, Niger, Benue, and Bayelsa branches, that had, hitherto, been inactive for years.

 

“Our efforts to strengthen collaborations across all CIPM branches have yielded positive results, evidenced by increased activity levels and greater participation across the geopolitical zones which have significantly boosted the visibility of the Institute.

 

“On this day, we boast of 28 active CIPM Branches nationwide and two branches in the diaspora, and Abuja Property; one of the legacy projects actualized,” he stated.

 

The CIPMN boss added that the institute has also scaled up its interaction with the public sector, playing both at the national and sub-national levels, in Nigeria, and using the private sector as its springboard.

 

He expressed the hope that the incoming administration, led by Alhaji Gobir Ahmed Ladan would build on the those legacies to further drive success.

 

Speaking shortly after his swearing-in, the institute’s new President, Ahmed Ladan, assured of his administration’s commitment to building on his predecessor’s achievements, while also strengthening CIPMN collaborations with HR managers and institutes, especially the global ones, to further reposition it for growth.

 

He stated that one of the focal areas of his administration would be to further enhance the existing bond between members by creating an online community, where members can freely engage and network.
